Cutaneous Carcinosarcoma

Cutaneous Carcinosarcoma
This is a photograph of a cutaneous carcinosarcoma on the leg of an elderly patient. Carcinosarcomas are rare but aggressive neoplasms commonly described in organs such as the breast, urinary bladder, uterus, liver, and lungs. They can occur in the skin but are rare. Only about  20 cases of primary cutaneous carcinosarcoma have been described in the world literature.
